I'm Natalie Louise Fox and I'd like to welcome you to Week 2. Now gratitude is one of my favourite topics. It's interesting because it really is one of the main key ways that you can shift your vibration super, super quickly. I see gratitude as acting as an energetic gateway between negative emotion, so low vibrational stuff and positive emotion, high vibrational stuff. Its not that those negative emotions are somewhere where we should never be, but we do have the choice to switch things around. Its just a skill. You can feel gratitude for anything at all. The other day I was having a tough day and i was quite sad really and someone was being a little bit unkind, I just felt really down in the dumps. I led down on my bed and just suddenly thought that this is the best bed I've ever had. Its the simplest but I really like it, it's really sturdy and comfy... I know it sounds silly but I just felt this amazing sense of gratitude and it switched my negative feelings and energy around. After that i was just naturally thinking better, healthier thoughts.
So really gratitude is about taking back the steering wheel. You choose whether you want to be feeling how you do; and if you do that's fine but if you don't just look for a tiny, seemingly insignificant thing to feel grateful for. It snaps you straight back to the present moment, opens your heart a little and allows your thoughts to snowball positively instead of negatively.
